Enlightening the Rural 'दिव्य ग्रामिण अभियान ' is a campaign started with the vision to uplift the status of rural education and financial situation through multiple sustainable solution. Short project description 'Enlightening the Rural' is a campaign currently running at the governmental and public schools located at rural regions of Kaski district. The main goal is to achieve six Global Goals by 2015 namely: Goal 3 (Good health and Well Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 17 (Partnership for the Goals) We conduct 4 sessions on each school quarterly where the targeted groups include: Students, Teachers, Parents/Guardians, Local People. Session 1: It includes technical education for the teachers and elected members of the local government so that they can rely on themselves for result processing or data analysing using MS Office tools and be able to use technical gadgets/ services provided by the government of Nepal like Projector, Laptops, Printer, Internet. We make them able to teach their students throughout the year after getting a full day training from our experts. Session 2: Primary level students will get access to interactive learning materials at a regular basis. Intermediate and high school students get information on adolescence handling, environmental sanitation, personal hygiene and period talks. As per the budget, we hold Health Camp in partnership with some medical institution for the villagers. Session 3: Teachers, Parents and students will get basic knowledge in handling personal and family finance from Financial Literacy advocates so that the problems caused by emigration can be resolved through self-empowerment. We focus on ‘Empowering through Income Generation’ and help them understand the perks of ‘Saving Culture’ along with investment techniques via bank representatives. Session 4: To solve unplanned urbanization and manage random constructions going on in each locality, parents and local people will be provided with basic knowledge on planned urbanization, sustainable construction of physical infrastructures at their locality while promoting environmental sustainability based on the tips explained by SDGs themes. During this session, we moderate a discussion among local people and elected representatives of local government along with officials from District Coordination Council to ensure partnership for the common goals.
